Spay and Neuter

Spaying or Neutering your Kitten

It is recommended that cats be spayed/neutered around 6 months of age. This age is recommended by our vets as optimal and can prevent numerous behavioural and health problems.

Female cats that are spayed young are less likely to develop mammary tumours or uterine infections.
Neutering males can reduce risk of urine marking, roaming outdoors, and aggressive behaviour.

Spaying/neutering your cats can also prevent the cost and efforts of unplanned pregnancies and kittens.

Spay/neuter surgeries are day procedures that require your kitten to be fasted overnight. Talk to our veterinarians for any questions or concerns that you may have.
