In-House Ultrasound

Advanced Imaging for Faster Answers

An ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive imaging procedure that uses sound waves to create real-time images of your pet's internal organs. Unlike X-rays, ultrasound allows our veterinarians to evaluate soft tissues and organ function in detail, helping us better understand what may be causing your pet's symptoms.

At Lansdowne Animal Hospital, many ultrasound examinations can be performed right here in our clinic, allowing for quicker diagnosis and treatment without the need for referral to another facility.
Ultrasound can be used to evaluate:
-The liver, kidneys, spleen, and other abdominal organs
-Bladder and urinary tract concerns, including bladder stones
-Gastrointestinal issues such as vomiting, diarrhea, or unexplained

weight loss
-Pregnancy and fetal development
-Abdominal masses or tumors
-Fluid accumulation within the abdomen
-Various internal medical conditions

Having access to in-house ultrasound means less waiting, fewer appointments, and faster answers when your pet needs them most. If a specialized ultrasound assessment is required, we can also coordinate care with veterinary imaging specialists.
