Expert Surgical Care for Your Pet

At Lansdowne Animal Hospital, we understand that the thought of your pet needing surgery can be stressful. Our experienced veterinary team is committed to providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality surgical care while keeping you informed every step of the way. Whether your pet requires a routine procedure or a more complex operation, we take every precaution to ensure their comfort, safety, and successful recovery.

We perform a wide range of surgical procedures in our hospital, including spays and neuters, lump and mass removals, cystotomies (bladder stone removal), wound repairs, and many other soft tissue surgeries. For advanced orthopedic procedures, such as TPLO surgery for cruciate ligament injuries, we can arrange for a board-certified veterinary surgeon to perform the procedure right here in our clinic. This allows your pet to receive specialized surgical care in a familiar environment without the added stress of travelling to another facility.

Patient safety is always our highest priority. Before any procedure, we perform a thorough physical examination and recommend pre-anesthetic blood testing to evaluate your pet's overall health. We also offer anti-anxiety medications when appropriate to help reduce stress before surgery. During the procedure, your pet is closely monitored by our trained veterinary team using advanced monitoring equipment to track heart rate, breathing, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and body temperature.

Following surgery, we provide comprehensive pain management and recovery support to help your pet heal comfortably. We know that pets are family members, and we treat them with the same care and attention we would want for our own pets.
